What’s the difference between hiring and buying the boxes?

Hiring the boxes is cheaper than buying the boxes. You can hire the boxes if you need them for less than 3 months. After the 3 month period, you forfeit the deposit you pay upfront on the moving boxes, and we no longer collect the boxes. When you hire the moving boxes, we drop them off to you and then once you have finished with them, we come and pick them up. Hiring also means you don’t have to worry about disposing of the boxes after you move.

We deliver our packing boxes and moving materials in the metro areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. If you call up early in the morning, we may be able to deliver the same day, simply ask us and we can check with the driver. Failing that, we should be able to deliver the next day, you simply select a convenient 2 hour delivery window and we will drop them off then. And no, you don’t need to be home when we make the delivery if there is somewhere safe to leave the packing boxes.

Unfortunately not as we are a delivery-only business. We don’t have a storefront. However, we can generally deliver super-fast – so give us a call on 1300 858 446 to see when we can get the boxes to you. You can either place your order online here, and pay for it using a Mastercard, Visa card or Debit Visa card. If you can not use one of these cards, you can pay for your order via Electronic funds Transfer (EFT). If you are paying via EFT you will need to contact the office to make your booking. Online bookings can be made 24 hours a day. Alternatively, place your order by calling our Call Centre on 1300 858 446 between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm Eastern Standard Time Monday to Friday. Please note orders that are being paid for by EFT can not be delivered until approximately 24-48 hours after the time the payment has been made as the funds need to be cleared in the bank prior to your order being dispatched.

All initial orders qualify for one free top-up delivery and one free pick up as long as the top-up and pick-up orders are placed within 3 months of the initial delivery. For hire jobs, delivery is free when you hire packing boxes or tape dispensers to the value of $65.00 inc. GST or over. For sale jobs, delivery is free when you buy packing boxes and/or ancillary items to the value of $99.00 incl. GST or over.

Our drivers can generally deliver next day. When making a booking, we ask for a two hour timeslot starting at 8am – 10am and the last timeslot being 4pm – 6pm. However this can differ depending on the drivers’ schedules in each city.
Please note this is a preferred timeslot and should the driver not be able to deliver during your requested time, then they will give you a call to discuss an alternative, convenient time for you.

If you require a same day delivery, this may be possible if the driver is in your area and has the stock you require with them. For same day deliveries, it is best to call our Customer Contact Centre on 1300 858 446 prior to 11am on the given day. Failing the same day delivery availability, the driver should be able to deliver off the boxes between 8am and 10am the next day.

Hire Or Buy Moving Boxes

Hire moving boxes for up to 3 months from the order date and you’ll get your deposit back. If you need the boxes for more than 3 months, we recommend buying the moving boxes outright, as this will be cheaper for you. The packing boxes we rent out are made to industry standards so they’ll be able to handle whatever storage purposes you throw at them. Choose to hire our moving boxes or buy new or second hand boxes.

Packing and Unpacking service

We offer professional packing and unpacking services for our clients in Adelaide. You don’t move often so why not treat yourself, reduce the risk of damage to your items and save yourself a heap of time by engaging our experienced and friendly packing ladies.

2 ladies for 4 hours is $480 and in this time they generally pack a kitchen and 1-2 other rooms, or around 30-40 boxes. If you want more done you can simply request this when you submit a quote on the Hire A Packer website. We highly recommend using our Adelaide packing service.
